70 yrs old

Omg look at my blog, its all cats and poetry. Sheesh, when did I turn 70? But this right here is a challenge, telling you things that do not involve cats, poetry and things which cannot be blogged about.

So, here’s how life’s been for the last few months:

Next week is my 6 month anniversary at this job. The weeks are slipping by faster and faster and as great a learning opportunity as this job is, I can only think about the future. Isn’t that terrible? Trying to live in the moment is such a tough little bitch.

Yea work really does consume your life. Can’t help it when it takes up all your daylight hours 5 days a week. Things are a-changing at work and I hope that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Anyway, I had my convocation!

Yea we took some totally cheesy grad shots. Haha.

My 3 friends. Hahah, I do find it amusing that I’ve had these 3 fuckers with me since day 1 of sch. Its quite amazing how I usually end up becoming really close friends with the people I meet on the first day of school, come to think about it, that’s happened to me at every stage of my schooling life. I’m just anti social I guess.

In other news, I’ve been keeping myself busy making little accessories in my free time, its really quite fun DIYing stuff.

I’m really not going to show u guys a bunch of badly taken photos, cause taking photos of yourself really isn’t easy, but I will show some inspiration!!

Intend on making my own version of all of these things. Pretty pretty!

He spends weekend nights in one of two ways—one, find a room full of people getting fucked up and try to get more fucked up than all of them—or—two, find a room full of people getting fucked up and lie to one of the pretty girls until she pulls him to his room and through his bed and into the folds of her body. And then, those were those rare girls with whom he didn’t have to choose between these two things. Marley is one of them, with the wreath of smoke painted round her canary hair and her winking eyes, who is pretty enough that he just couldn’t say no to her. She barely has to say anything and he says yes and he swallows the smoke or the pills or whatever it is and then she swallows him and the room swallows them both. The weekend morning—the smell of Marley in his room sits heavier than the hangover, and he knows why they don’t make too many girls like her anymore. She eats men, bursts hearts, shakes trees, holds lit fireworks, gulps down bones, spins the world, etc, and can still manage to find all of her clothing in the dark hours of the morning and close the door behind her without making so much as a noise.

Up in the second-story bedroom, digging at each other’s body with tenderness like we were gently scooping out earth to pot delicate velvet-leafed plants. Something folded out in front of both us—a new language of romance pulling out words we never knew how to speak before it all started. We spoke to each other in looks, and in the subtly of breath and pupils, and every quiet moment spent together my blood was roaring you are she, you are her and your blood was roaring you are he, you are him.

First of all, this is such a randomly designed poster. Are those power rangers?Holding fans?? Why does the Merlion have flaming eyes? The red is kinda freaky as well.

Second of all, anyone wanna check it out?? Hurrr hurrr, there are Ramly burgers! I wanna see Tanjong Beach Club.

The Gentleman Bastards

leave a comment »

The other night Brooklyn Bob asked me what it meant to be a Gentleman Bastard.

“Being a gentleman is not all that hard,” I told him. “Compliment sincerely, insist on paying for drinks, open doors, and give up cabs. Dress well, but no so well others feel uncomfortable, and only swear when it’s important. Listen when others talk, take offense at nothing, and speak the truth as you see it.”

“And that’s it?” he asked.

“Well, also, when you bring someone home, treat them like the sweetest little whore you’ve ever met and fuck them until they can’t remember their own name.”

“That’s what gentleman do?”

“Technically, that’s the bastard part.”

Guy New York

This is totally what Hank from Californication does.

All men should learn how to be like this. Its a fine art, and the ones who succeed are the ones who get all the ladies. After reading this, I realised who I know has achieved this naturally. I don’t think you can force it though, then it just becomes fake and cheesy.

I say try to adapt the gentleman part into your life and once you start getting the ladies, then try the bastard bit. That’s what I think would work (as a woman at least).
